Bio

Pergrin is a native of Berlin, Germany, where he grew up immersed in the French culture while attending the Lycée Français. College studies in Paris, France, at the École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle, gave him a strong foundation in international film. After graduating, he realized that the US was the place he wanted to be and decided to make it home after studying cinematography at AFI. Internships with Academy Award winners Vittorio Storaro and Vilmos Zsigmond, as well as László Kovács, rounded out his education.

As one of the youngest MFA graduates ever, Pergrin started working “through the ranks” on literally hundreds of commercials and music videos in the US and abroad, with legendary directors like Joe Pytka and Tony Kaye, amongst many others.

Pergrin is fluent in three languages, English, German and French, and conversational in two more, Spanish and Italian, although he is told that he now has an American accent in all of them. Pergrin works comfortably all over the world. Despite his perpetual wanderlust, he has called Los Angeles his home base with his family for many years.
